The Florida Women’s State Golf Association just added intern Brittany Staton to their current staff. She is a 2007 graduate from Wingate University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She played on scholarship Division II golf all four years for the Lady Bulldogs. After graduation, she moved to Upstate New York to join the staff at Turning Stone Resort & Casino, host of the first annual PGA event at Atunyote Golf Club. She was born and raised in Rockwell, NC and now resides in Spring Hill, FL.

Brittany will be assisting with all areas of golf administration including tournament administration, memberships, and communication. She will work under the Executive Director Kelly Thormahlen in the Tampa based office. Brittany's’ intern position was made possible under the USGA P.J. Boatwright internship program. This program is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf association, as well as non-profit organizations dedicated to the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term entry level basis.
