Hurst Advances to U.S. Women's Open

The 2005 FWSGA Junior Player of the Year, Vicky Hurst, 15 earned medalist honors at sectional qualifying at The Country Club of Heathrow to advance to the 2006 U.S. Women's Open. Vicky, of Melbourne, shot a two-round total of 148 to advance to the Championship at Newport Country Club on June 29- July 2.

Vicky captured the 2005 FWSGA Girls Junior Championship with a 2-under par total for 36 holes as well as qualified for match play at the U.S. Girls Junior and U.S. Women's Amateur. Vicky will be defending her title next week at Lake Buena Vista June 19-21, 2006.
