Therese Quinn and Alan Henderson Capture FSGA/FWSGA Mixed Team Championship

 

Therese Quinn and Alan Henderson both of Jacksonville captured the FSGA/FWSGA Mixed Team Championship.  Victoria Hills Golf Club, Deland hosted the Championship October 13-15, 2006. 

 

After the first day of four-ball stroke play, Quinn and Henderson led the field with a eight-under par 64 to lead by five shots.  Chasing the leaders were M.J. and Jeff Hiestand, Naples with a first round score of 69.  The final day consisted of 18 holes of modified alternate shot.  Quinn and Henderson shot a five-under par 67 to capture the event by 7 shots over Debbie and Brent Mook Sang, Valrico 70-68-138.

 

In the second flight, Gina Johnston and Lance George, Palm City, won the flight after shooting 74-69-143.  The third flight featured Chris and Jim Brindle, of Orange Park, winning after they shot a 78-76-154.  In the fourth flight Maria and Steve Hyden, of Tampa, shot 83-78-161 to place first in their flight.  The teams were flighted based on their first round score.
