Repeats at USGA Senior Women’s
Amateur

Lang, 51, of Weston, Florida
defeated Anna Schultz, 51, of
Rockwall, Texas to capture her
second consecutive USGA Senior
Women’s Amateur Championship at
Sea Island’s par-71, 5,832-yard
Seaside Course. Lang captured
the championship in a dramatic
18-hole final. After being 3
down after 8 holes Lang won the
next 3 holes to get back to all
square. Shultz won the 12th
hole to go 1 up but couldn’t
hold off two birdies from Lang
on 14 and 15 to go 1 up and
eventually capture her second
championship.Lang
advanced to the finals with a
2-up semifinal victory Wednesday
over Toni Wiesner, 59, of Fort
Worth, Texas. In her
quarterfinal match, Lang
defeated seven-time USGA
champion and 2005 runner-up,
Carole Semple Thompson 3 & 2.
Diane
was the FWGSA 2006 Senior
Champion & 2005 Player of the
