Lisa Urgo Named Junior Scholarship Recipient

Lisa Urgo of Spring Hill was named the first Sarah E. Huneycutt Scholar. Lisa, 18, graduated in June from Springstead High School where she played on the golf team for two years and served as captain. Urgo also played on her high schools basketball team for 4 years. While playing, she became the captain and made varsity the last 2 years. She was ranked 11th in her graduating class and maintained an impressive 4.33 GPA.

Along with being a student athlete and maintaining highest honors, Lisa also found the time to give back to her community and participate in school clubs. She helped to organize as well as participate in Relay for Life for about 5 years. Urgo also was a member of Future Business Leaders of America for 3 years. Her senior year she helped to put out her schools yearbook as she also served the Senior Class Council as their secretary.

Lisa will be attending the University of South Florida in Tampa where she has been accepted into the pre-medical program. Her goal is to become a physician specializing in sports medicine.
