FWSGA Loses Longtime Supporter and FWSGA Director

At 2 am on June 11th, 2004, we lost a leader, a lover of animals, an icon of kindness, and a friend.  After months of battling Cancer, Sarah Huneycutt passed away quietly.

A gentle era is passing with Sarah. An era when you smiled to a stranger, walked with no fear, believed in your neighbor. Sarah’s ability to make people smile, to give encouragement, to go one step further than asked, were just a few of her greatest attributes.  Her lifestyle was one of giving and encouragement.

Sarah was devoted to the Junior Girls’ Scholarship program working tirelessly to raise money in the Penny-a-Stroke program. In her memory, the Junior Girls’ Scholarship Fund, Sarah Huneycutt Memorial has been established.  Donations can be mailed to the FWSGA office.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Sarah on Friday, June 18, 2004, at 11:00 A.M., at the United Methodist Church in Indian Lake Estates on Deland Ave.  (Deland is the main street into Indian Lake Estates off Hwy. 60.)  At the service, there will be a time for anyone who wishes, to say whatever might be in their heart regarding Sarah.

FWSGA has lost a valued friend.
