By joining
the FWSGA today you are able to
help support the continued
growth of women's golf in
Florida. The Florida Women’s
State Golf Association has a
long history of promoting and
protecting the game of golf in
Florida and serves the game
through:

Conduct golf competitions,
including eight State
Championships and eight
one-day district
tournaments.

Raise funds to support the
FWSGA Junior Scholarship
Fund and award scholarships
to young women attending
Florida Institutions of
higher education.

Work in conjunction with the
USGA to conduct seminars on
the Rules of Golf,
Handicapping, and Course
Rating.

Maintain and train women’s
course rating teams to
service our member clubs
state-wide.

Provide a communications
network for women golfers
within the State, via the
FWSGA Yearbook, FWSGA
Newsletters, and FWSGA
website

Tournaments
As an Individual Member you are
eligible to play in any of our
eight state championships or any
of our district tournaments. In
the district tournaments, if you
win first gross or first
net you automatically advance to
the District Championship in
December 2008. The Club Team
Championship is a new tournament
added this year. This championship
is where four members from the
same club compete against other
clubs for the championship
title.
