• Conduct golf competitions, including eight State Championships and eight one-day district tournaments.
• Raise funds to support the FWSGA Junior Scholarship Fund and award scholarships to young women attending Florida Institutions of higher education.
• Work in conjunction with the USGA to conduct seminars on the Rules of Golf, Handicapping, and Course Rating.
• Maintain and train women’s course rating teams to service our member clubs state-wide.
• Provide a communications network for women golfers within the State, via the FWSGA Yearbook, FWSGA Newsletters, and FWSGA website www.fwsga.org.

You will receive a copy of The 2008 Yearbook. Included in the yearbook is general history of our organization and championships, entry forms into all of our 2008 championships, and an extra membership application to pass along.

Newsletter
You will regularly receive the FWSGA newsletter, “FORE”, a monthly Email Newsletter, as well as other mailings throughout the year.
 

Message Board

You will have access to our Message Board which allows you to communicate with other FWSGA members. It has forums such as the following: Questions, Golf Help & Tips, Need a Partner, and Golf Events in Florida. This message board gives you the opportunity to post your comments or questions dealing with the association and have it recognized by other FWSGA members, board and staff.

Tournaments
As an Individual Member you are eligible to play in any of our eight state championships or any of our district tournaments. In the district tournaments, if you win first gross or first net you automatically advance to the District Championship in December 2008. The Club Team Championship is a new tournament added this year. This championship is where four members from the same club compete against other clubs for the championship title.

Membership Levels
Individual Membership are available at these different levels:

• Gold - $200
• Silver - $75      (Receive FWSGA Hat or Visor)
• Regular - $40   (Receive a Embroidered FWSGA Shirt)
• Junior - $20
